Saeby Fish Canners Ltd. produces 100 to 120 million of cans annually. About 85% is exported. At Saeby Fish Canners Ltd. we focus on high quality, responsibility, and innovation. We have more than 70 years of experience as a canned mackerel producer, and the experience makes us stronger. Next time you shop for mackerel, make sure to look for our manufacturer number DK2044EF.The number guarantees that your mackerel is produced by Saeby Fish Canners Ltd.The trawlers fish during the period of October to November as the stocks of the Scomber Scombrus mackerel are particularly large during these months. Likewise, the mackerel's fat content is at its highest, and thus the best, during this period.Throughout these two months the trawlers fish what is equivalent to a year of production to preserve the mackerel stocks in the ocean. At the same time, we reduce our storage. The trawlers fish in accordance with the official EU quotas.Our mackerel is IQF frozen, which means that every mackerel is frozen individually. After the nobbing machine has removed the mackerel's head and tail, the mackerel is individually frozen and stored in separate cells in our own cold store facilities.As a result of this, the traceability is ensured, from the time of the catch until the mackerel lands in the stores. The ensured traceability is guarantee for origin and high quality.To ensure the high quality of our mackerel products, we do several quality inspections every day. All of our produced canned mackerels undergo X ray to see if there are any unexpected obstacles in the cans.Before our mackerel products are finished in our production, they also undergo:SterilizationWeighingQuality checkAt Saeby Fish Canners Ltd. we do our quality checks in our own laboratory every day. It is here that our laboratory technicians ensure that our products contain the right values, and that they do not contain anything other than the natural raw materials.Our canned mackerel is stored in our incubation storage for seven days after the production. When the seven days have passed, the canned mackerel products are ready for shipment to our customers.With 35 different variants in our product assortment, we deliver private label canned mackerel to everyone.On an annual basis, we export 85% of our produced canned mackerel abroad. At the same time, we have a production capacity that enables us to produce 150 million cans per year, so our experience and expertise cannot be questioned.We only use clean and raw materials, where we ensure full traceability, from the time of the catch until the mackerel lands on the consumer's table.We are constantly focusing on optimizing both the internal production as well as our collaborations with external interests in order to produce sustainable canned mackerel.If you are a retailer, you have the option of ordering our products in several ways:You can choose any given product and buy it in larger quantities.You can choose a package solution, where you either choose or develop a recipe in collaboration with us.
